The Omega J8006 Nutrition Center is a 2008 model and was one of the best slow juicers of its time. However, after a bit of research, it becomes pretty clear that this Omega J8006 juicer has a lot of mixed reviews. Some people seem to swear by this model and believe it’s the best juicer out there, while others were somewhat disappointed.
In any case, let’s have a good look at the Omega J8006 Nutrition Center Juicer, and decide for ourselves, shall we?
First of all, is it just me, or the Omega J8006 looks like a baby dinosaur? In all fairness, the model came out a few years back, when the horizontal design was all the rage, and before the vertical design took over.
So the Omega J8006 Nutrition Center Juicer might not be winning beauty contests any time soon, but the question is, is it a good juicer? Does the old-style horizontal technology offer any advantages?
Let’s find out.
The Omega J8006 is a bit cumbersome and will occupy a fair portion of your kitchen counter. It is also somewhat heavy, so putting it away after each juice might turn out to be quite the workout.
This Omega J8006 model is a dual-stage slow speed masticating juicer. Dual-stage means that first, the fruit and veggies are crushed to extract the juice, and then, the pulp goes through a second press stage before the juicer ejects it. This dual process increases the amount of juice you get.
Unlike fast centrifugal juicers or blenders, these slow masticating juicers, squeeze and crush the produce, rather than grinding it.
The low speed also gives you less foaming and also slows the process of oxidation and separation. Therefore helps reduce oxidation in the juice, retaining more of the healthy enzymes and nutrients.
Omega claims that their juice is of superior quality, and you can store it in the fridge for up to 72 hours.
Another thing you should keep in mind when considering buying the Omega J8006 Nutrition Centre is how pulpy you like your juice. If you don’t mind some serious pulp in your daily squeeze, then you are okay buying this one. If you prefer a smoother juice with fewer bits, then you either have to pass it through a sieve or move along… there’s nothing to see here (check out other models). Seriously though, having some pulp in your juice is not actually bad, as it’s solid fiber, which is healthy.
The Omega J8006 is an easy to assemble and an easy to clean juicer. In fact, there are only a few parts to put together before starting the juicing process. You can easily assemble it in under a minute.
It is also easy to use, but I have to warn you, even though the juicing itself is quite fast, the whole process from start to finish might be a bit time-consuming. The culprit is the itsy bitsy tiny chute. Yep, the feeding tube is so small you will need to practically dice the vegetables and fruits to fit it in the feeding tube. And that, my friend, takes a lot of time.
Apart from making vegetable and fruit juices, the Omega Nutrition Centre can also:
That’s pretty versatile; however, if you’re thinking of juicing wheatgrass, I would stay away from this model. A lot of people complain about having difficulties juicing wheatgrass with the Omega J8006 and even experience screen breakages.
The Omega J8006 does more than just juice; it makes nut butter, extrudes pasta, grinds coffee and spices, minces herbs and garlic, makes baby food, and soy and nut milk.
The parts are not as durable as you would wish them to be and tend to bend and break after a short while.
In fact, it seems that the people who are happy with the Omega J8006 have never owned a juicer before, have just bought it and have only used it for a couple of months.
I personally would think twice about buying the Omega J8006. The reality is that there are cheaper alternatives with the same quality in the market.
A word of advice though, if you want a longer-lasting juicer machine, I would suggest paying a bit more and get a more durable juicer. Some good vertical juicers are the Hurom H-AA Slow Juicer, The Kuvings Whole Slow Juicer C7000, or the Tribest Slowstar Juicer.
Oh, if you’re still set on a horizontal slow juicer and can afford it, then you might want to consider the beast of a juicer, that is the Tribest Greenstar Elite.
That’s it from me. Let me know which juicer you decided to get, and if you have the Omega J8006, how did you find it?
“This juicer exceeded my expectations. I searched for reviews online for months before purchasing it and I am very happy with my decision”
“I’m thrilled with this juicer. It was represented well, fairly priced, and shipped quickly. I would definitely recommend it.”
“Easy to take apart and clean and it’s quiet. A bigger feed-chute would be nice.”
It features some of my favorite health-boosting juice recipes, complete with their nutritional values and health benefits of each ingredient. If you haven’t done so already, get it now.

I am using omega juicer machine since 5 years. This machine is very good. It has 800 hz power. It grinds every thing in seconds. After having this machine I grind all my masalas like garam masalas, turmeric etc at home. Now I grind fresh beasan from dal and use it fresh. The taste of freshly grinded is much better then the packed masalas and besan etc we buy from market. Also now our family enjoys freshly made juices from this machine. In winters we make juices of carrots and other vegetables juices from it. I grinds fine paste of dal and rice for dosa and idly . Over all I am very happy to buy this machine and is completely satisfied.
