A Pearfect Pearing

Here’s one for the green juice lovers. You’ve got celery and kale in this one, so you can bet it’s a super-extra healthy green juice recipe.

Celery has been all the rage lately and with good reason, as it’s packed with antioxidants and vitamins that help fight off a myriad of diseases. And kale is one of the most nutrient-dense foods on this planet, rich in calcium, iron, and vitamins A, K, and C.

I’ve added just a bit of lemon and ginger to enhance the taste and pack in more health benefits. And I’ve thrown in the pears for sweetness and soluble fiber. Enjoy!

Ingredients

Kale
5 leaves

Celery
5 sticks

Pears
2 medium

Lemon
1 wedge

Ginger
1 thumb-size piece

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Wash all the ingredients thoroughly under running water.
  2. Chop all ingredients into a size that best works for your juicer.
  3. Feed everything into your juicer, alternating between soft and hard ingredients.
  4. Drink and enjoy the benefits.

Notes:

For full benefits, consume immediately or as soon as possible, but within 24 hours.
Store in an airtight glass bottle or jar and refrigerate.
