Usually, I’m not a massive fan of talking about the specific healing properties of a particular ingredient. I mostly advocate a healthy plant-based diet boosted with daily juicing for overall health and wellbeing. But today I have to make an exception.
When creating this recipe, I was doing some research about the health benefits of cabbage juice. I came across this study about cabbage juice as a treatment for peptic ulcers. Peptic ulcers are sores in the lining of the stomach, lower esophagus, or small intestine.
According to this study, patients who suffered from peptic ulcers were healed in just around 7 days using fresh cabbage juice. The regular therapy took about 42 days to achieve the same results. Wow!
The abundant vitamin U in cabbage (although not technically a vitamin) proved to have strong anti-peptic properties and also helps to protect the stomach and maintain a healthy gastrointestinal tract.
The only downside is that cabbage juice is not particularly palatable. But in this recipe, I will show you how to juice cabbage, adding other ingredients to make a better-tasting cabbage juice for ulcers.
So, if you suffer from peptic ulcers, remember to add cabbage to your juicing shopping list. If you don’t, you can still enjoy the benefits of juicing cabbage to keep a healthy stomach and gut.
Please share this recipe with anyone with peptic ulcers. They will be forever grateful.
